(4) Leaf spring non-independent suspension system


The leaf spring is used as the elastic element of the non-independent suspension. Because it also acts as a guiding mechanism, the suspension system is greatly simplified. As shown in Figure 2 below. This type of suspension is widely used in the front and rear suspensions of trucks. It uses U-bolts in the middle to fix the leaf spring to the axle. The front end of the suspension is a fixed hinge, also called dead lug. It is connected with the front end of the leaf spring and the front bracket of the leaf spring by a leaf spring pin, and a bushing is installed in the front end of the eyelet to reduce friction. The rear end rolling lug is connected with the rear end lug and the lug bracket through the leaf spring lug pin, and the rear end can swing freely to form a movable lug. When the frame is deformed by the shock spring, the distance between the two roll ears may change.
