(6) Air suspension system
Compared with the traditional non-variable height coil spring suspension system currently used by most cars, the air suspension system can adjust the height of the chassis up or down according to the ups and downs of the road, so that the vehicle can adapt to the driving needs of various road conditions. For this design purpose, the air suspension system is mostly used on off-road vehicles that often travel in harsh road conditions to ensure that the vehicle can smoothly pass through muddy, wading, gravel and other roads. The air suspension system is a very advanced and practical configuration, but it is very "fragile".
air suspension system
Due to the complex structure of the system, the probability and frequency of failure are much higher than those of the coil spring suspension system, and air is used as the "propulsion power" to adjust the height of the chassis, and the sealing performance of the shock absorber needs to be further improved. If the vibrator leaks, the entire system will be in a "paralyzed" state. Moreover, if the height of the chassis is adjusted frequently, it may also cause local overheating of the air pump system, which will greatly shorten the service life of the air pump. As the design of SUVs becomes more and more miniaturized and urbanized, the off-road performance of SUVs is gradually being compressed, and the air suspension system seems to be useless on the flat road in the city. Faced with such dilemmas and technical bottlenecks, the air suspension system will naturally fail to win the applause of consumers.
